CAM RANH INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL WELCOMES GLOBUS AIRLINES’ INAUGURAL FLIGHT FROM NOVOSIBIRSK
Cam Ranh, December 16th 2018.
After the successful launch of S7 Airlines’ scheduled flights between Irkutsk and Cam Ranh last month, Globus Airlines (subsidiary of S7 Airlines) today inaugurated the second successive scheduled service between Russia and Cam Ranh.
This evening at 20:41, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft carrying 160 passengers and flight crew landed at Cam Ranh from Novosibirsk, Russia, after a flight of over 6½ hours. Cam Ranh is the first scheduled destination in Vietnam for Globus Airlines.

Globus Airlines’ inaugural flight on December 16th will be followed by weekly flights operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flights from Novosibirsk (OVB) to Cam Ranh (CXR) on will be operated on a 176-seater B737 MAX 8, one of the longest non-stop flights into CXR on a B737. This service will depart from OVB at 13:40 to arrive at CXR at 21:45 local time, with the return flight scheduled to depart at 23:00 and arrive at OVB the next day at 7:15 local time.
Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) is pleased to welcome Globus Airlines. “We are delighted to expand our partnership with S7 Airlines and its subsidiary Globus Airlines, to link the industrial city of Novosibirsk, capital of Russian Siberia, to the exotic beaches of Cam Ranh and Nha Trang. The addition of this commercial route provides direct access from the second biggest tourism market in Russia, to the warm coastal attractions of the Khanh Hoa region. Considering the extensive network that S7 Airlines operates, this is a positive step to promote business and tourism from Novosibirsk and beyond,” a statement provided by the CRTC Management Board.

Since 2012, number of tourists to Khanh Hoa province have increased from 2.3 million annually to 5.5 million annually in 2017. Last week, Khanh Hoa Tourism celebrated a new milestone, welcoming 6 million visitors this year.

The International Terminal (T2) at Cam Ranh Airport was built with a total investment of VND 3,735 trillion and officially put into operation on 30 June 2018 after 19 months of construction. Developed and managed by Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) JSC, it brings much needed capacity injection into the already congested aviation market. Cam Ranh T2 is currently served by 21 international airlines and at 3.65 million international passengers in 2017, it is the 4th busiest in terms of international passenger volume handled in Vietnam.
